Thailand-based Blue Icon Foundation launches charity events to help 10,000 families hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic

Blue Icon Foundation has scaled up efforts to support vulnerable groups and communities suffering from the effects of the pandemic, with a goal of helping them get back on their feet.

Thailand-based Blue Icon Foundation has launched charity events to help 10,000 families suffering from the debilitating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Blue Icon Foundation team has conducted its first-ever charity event at the Sri Phuwanat Park, Wichit Subdistrict in Phuket.

“Sharing is giving. For Blue Icon Foundation, it is our primary goal to help people and communities who have been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to take off some burden from their shoulders as they continue to face these hurdles,” says Blue Icon Foundation representative Miss Chalanda Hasook.

During the “Happy Milk” event, the Blue Icon Foundation, in cooperation with the CSR Phuket Center, distributed relief packages to vulnerable groups, including 100 families that continue to bear the brunt of the health crisis.

Blue Icon Foundation founder Mr Franck Joseph thanked the Prime Minister of the Red Cross of Phuket and the Social Development and Human Security in Phuket for supporting them in conducting the activity.

Mr Franck Joseph says there’s an unprecedented need for foundation charity help. He says while the pandemic upended the lives of millions of people across the globe, it also opened opportunities to help people in need and support them in any way.

The Blue Icon foundation also provided relief goods to learners at the Wat Thepkrasattri School in Phuket.

After over a year of pandemic-induced lockdowns, close to half of the world’s learners are still gravely affected by the closure of schools. The spread of COVID-19 globally has changed the way students access education and pose difficulties for educators.

In Thailand, many students are eager to rebuild a daily routine of learning while pushing hard to adjust to an unprecedented school year brought about by the raging crisis.

“The Blue Icon Foundation team has been doing everything it can to reach out to schools, so our learners are given the relief assistance they need to cope with the new normal of education,” explains Miss Chalanda Hasook.

Miss Chalanda Hasook says while many people feel powerless in the face of COVID-19, they can still make a difference. People can still help and give back.

“No matter who you are or what your condition is, you can make a difference. There are many ways to give back, and it’s essential to check on people who might need support,” says Mr Mr Franck Joseph, “We will conduct charity events in Thailand this year and extend our efforts to other impacted countries starting in 2022, our goal is to help and support 10,000 Families every year”
