The International Dyslexia Association will be holding a charity fundraiser culminating on March 31st, 2021 with a winner getting a one-of-a-kind art mosaic of Kobe Bryant

The piece was created and donated by renowned artist Loring Cornish. His artwork can be found in permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC, and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum in Baltimore, MD. “We are very grateful to Loring Cornish, not only for his generosity but also for his for his passion for improving literacy,” says CEO Sonja Banks. “IDA is committed to serving all who struggle to read…because reading changes lives. Surrounded by genuine basketballs, this stunning tribute depicts Kobe Bryant’s relentless practice of his craft. Hundreds of stainless-steel screws symbolize how he built a career with commitment and hard work. Strips of hand-cut mirror reflect the time and talent Bryant spent influencing and uplifting disadvantaged youth over two decades.
For each donation of at least $10, a donor receives a specified number of entries to win with no limit on the number of chances that can be purchased. Proceeds from the drawing will go to provide struggling readers and teachers with the technology, software, tutorial, advocate services, and training that students need to thrive and succeed.
This prize includes: The 48” x 24” x1” Mosaic created with Glass, Finished Wood, Photograph, Basketballs, and 2/16th Metal Screws; a Certificate of Authenticity and shipping and handling (U.S. only) to the winner.
