Consumer confidence hits 127.4 in July, vs. 126.5 estimate

Consumer confidence was expected to gain in July after a disappointing drop in June. The Confidence Board's index was expected to increase to 126.5 from 126.4, according to a survey of Reuters' economists. The measure sunk to 126.4 last month from 128.8 in May on lower income prospects.
