(PRUnderground) October 3rd, 2022

Walk into any grocery store or department store and it is plain to see that Halloween is just around the corner. As kids across the country begin to ponder which character they will dress up as come Halloween night, a new heroine has entered the chat. Introducing Hallie O’Ween: the new children’s picture book co-authored by Kelly Rorvik and Tara Tosten that is inspiring young girls to be courageous when it comes to facing their fears.

Hallie O’Ween follows the story of Hallie, a little girl whose shyness and fear have prevented her from joining in the fun festivities within her village. On October 31st, the annual harvest festival comes to Hallies village, and Hallie locks herself inside — until she discovers that a goblin has broken into her room and is trying to steal her favorite dress. Will she let him steal her clothes and destroy her house? Or will she find the bravery within (with the help of a new friend), to face her fears?

Authors Kelly Rorvik and Tara Tosten are childhood friends who grew up together in Pennsylvania. Both very shy children themselves, they wanted to create a character that appealed to the shy little girls of the world, and encourage them that they can do great things. Furthermore, there are no positive characters associated with Halloween for girls — there are witches and vampires that have dominated the industry for decades, but never a positive character designed to inspire.

Hallie O’Ween is available as a free download on https://hallieoween.com/, on YouTube, as an audiobook on transistor.fm and soon accompanied by a children’s song come October 5th.

“We were so amazed by the artwork of Zeeshan, he brought our vision of Hallie O’ Ween to life. It makes us even more excited to create new stories for Hallie and Hal O’Ween.” – Tara Tosten

“I have had so much fun with Hallie O’ Ween. My niece loves to dress up as Hallie! – Kelly Rorvik

Through proof of concept, dedication to the craft, and unwavering commitment to little girls across the nation, Kelly Rorvik, and Tara Tosten’s purpose-driven vision has come to fruition with the release of Hallie O’Ween.
