Darren Van’t Hof joins as Principal and David DeHorn appointed President

OCS will bring expertise in asset management, capital markets and transaction structuring, while also advising on corporate strategy, growth planning, and market expansion. In addition, OCS will provide guidance on regulatory policy—particularly as it relates to the energy transition—helping clients navigate shifting frameworks.

Darren Van’t Hof’s career started in real estate, with a wide focus on project development, operations, and finance. In 2004, Darren joined US Bank, where he established a renewable energy investment platform that grew into one of the nation’s largest in tax equity investing and project finance lending. Darren also pioneered financing structures for large-scale debt and equity investments across several energy sectors and he was instrumental in developing a secondary market for tax equity. Throughout his tenure at US Bank, Darren held several leadership positions while supporting a range of strategic initiatives. Since 2022, he has served as Chairman of the Board of the Solar Energy Industries Association, a Board on which he has served in some capacity since 2008. David DeHorn began his career on Wall Street and spent nearly twenty years at Lehman Brothers in New York and Barclays in London. During this time, he held various roles in credit structuring, trading, and risk management, and became a Managing Director while working closely with OCP principals Peter Benoist and Dan Crowley to build and manage successful credit trading businesses. In 2022, he transitioned from Wall Street to become Chief Strategy Officer at (then NYSE-listed) DOMA, where he sat on the Executive Committee and played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s vision, driving strategic initiatives, and leading multiple M&A transactions. Building on this experience, David helped co-found OCS, bringing with him deep expertise in capital markets, strategy, and leadership. David DeHorn is a Registered Representative of Finalis Securities LLC, Member FINRA/SIPC.
