Cleanroom Film & Bags Announces Grand Opening of New Solar-Powered Cleanroom Packaging Facility

State-of-the-art plant equips Cleanroom Film & Bags to serve growing demand for sterile cleanroom packaging

Cleanroom Film and Bags (CFB), a division of C-P Flexible Packaging, has expanded its manufacturing footprint with a new solar-powered and ISO-certified facility in Placentia, California. This expansion allows the company to meet increased demand for high-quality, certified cleanroom packaging for a growing customer base, while remaining true to CFB’s 100% American-made commitment.

The modernized facility features ISO-certified cleanrooms with environmental monitoring climate systems and a fully equipped laboratory. CFB’s sterile packaging is manufactured within controlled cleanrooms, processed from raw materials to a finished, vacuum-sealed product without ever leaving the cleanroom environment. Ten extrusion blown film lines are integrated with the cleanrooms’ converting equipment. This unique process maintains a superior level of cleanliness.

The new facility also highlights CFB’s commitment to sustainability. With 440 solar panels, the plant is one of Orange County’s largest solar deployments, generating one-third of the cleanroom facility’s energy.

According to Jaime Read, General Manager of CFB, “We are very excited about this expansion, which enhances our capacity and speed-to-market.”

Michael Hoffman, CEO of C-P Flexible Packaging, said, “CFB’s new state-of-the-art cleanroom facility raises the bar for cleanroom manufacturing. This new facility allows us to continue to meet the demand of our clients, stay at the forefront of cleanroom innovation and demonstrate our commitment to environmental responsibility.”

A Grand Opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the new facility on June 16, 2022. Among the attendees will be CFB’s customers, executives from CFB and C-P Flexible Packaging, regional elected officials and media outlets.
