Northleaf Strengthens Private Equity Leadership Team in UK/EMEA

Northleaf Capital Partners (Northleaf) today announced that it has strengthened its private equity leadership team in the United Kingdom (UK) and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with the appointment of Sanja Cvetinovic as a Managing Director, based in London.

Sanja will lead Northleaf’s private equity investment origination and execution strategy, including secondary, primary and direct investments, in the UK/EMEA and will assume leadership of the private equity investment team in London. She will work closely with Shane Feeney, Global Head of Secondaries at Northleaf, to build on the firm’s highly successful 20-year track record in global secondaries investing.

In addition, Matthieu Ducharme, Managing Director, will take on a new role on the investment team as Head of Liquidity & Financing Solutions. Matthieu will focus on structuring both liquidity and financing solutions to optimize investment returns for Northleaf investors, while continuing to support deal sourcing and selection efforts. Daniel Dupont will continue in his role as Vice Chair, Europe and member of Northleaf’s Private Equity Investment Committee.

“We are delighted to welcome Sanja to Northleaf. She brings a proven track record in private equity investing and will work closely with our leadership team in North America to build on Northleaf’s highly successful global private equity program,” said Mike Flood, Managing Director & Head of Private Equity at Northleaf. “With the addition of Sanja, as well as Matthieu’s new role and the ongoing support of Daniel, our leadership team in UK/EMEA is well-positioned to accelerate the delivery of our private equity investment strategy to meet the needs of our investors globally.”

Sanja most recently served as a Principal at Blackstone Group where she led its Strategic Partners Fund Solutions’ European private equity practice with responsibility for the origination, evaluation and structuring of private equity secondaries, primary fund commitments and co-investments. She was also involved in global fundraising and investor relations activities.

“I am excited to join Northleaf, a growing firm with a well-established team and a longstanding track record of developing innovative private equity and secondaries solutions for investors,” said Sanja. “I look forward to working with the team to execute Northleaf’s private equity strategy in the UK and EMEA.”

Over the past twenty years, Northleaf’s US$11 billion global private equity program has provided investors with access to mid-market private company value creation through three complementary strategies: secondaries, directs and integrated global solutions. The private equity program currently serves more than 120 institutional and family office investors across North America and the UK/EMEA.
