Item 8.01 Other Events.

Change of Company Trading Symbol.

Currently, the common stock of Halo Technology Holdings, Inc. (the "Company") is quoted on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol HALO. The Company has been informed that NASDAQ has elected to change the Company's trading symbol. The Company's new symbol will be HTHO. The new symbol will be effective at the open of business on Friday, March 9, 2007. The new trading symbol does not reflect any change in the Company or its operations. Stock certificates are not affected by the symbol change.
