Item 8.01 Other Events.

On August 1, 2017, Agios Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (the “Company”) and Celgene Corporation issued a press release announcing that IDHIFA® (enasidenib) was granted approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of patients with relapsed or refractory AML with an isocitrate dehydrogenase-2 mutation as detected by an FDA approved test. The full text of the press release issued in connection with this announcement is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference.
