Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

On January 21, 2016, Eclipse Resources Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing, among other things, proved reserves at December 31, 2015, an expected impairment charge with respect to certain oil and gas properties and the date that the Company plans to announce fourth quarter 2015 and full-year 2015 earnings. A copy of the press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
