Item 8.01. Other Events.
On November 7, 2005, Ampex Corporation issued a press release announcing that it intends to file its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 with the Commission on November 14, 2005, and to simultaneously issue its third quarter earnings release to the press and post a copy of the earnings release on its website (www.ampex.com). The Company will also hold a conference call on November 14, 2005 to review its third quarter operating results. A copy of the press release is attached to this report as Exhibit 99.1.
