VMWare reports 62% jump in first-quarter profit

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - VMWare Inc. on Wednesday reported a 62% jump in first-quarter profit boosted by robust sales in its services unit as the economic downturn led to a decline in licensing revenue.
