NYSE Euronext (NYSE Euronext: NYX) today announced that NYSE Arca Options began trading options on WisdomTree India Earnings Fund (EPI). Listed on NYSE Arca on Feb. 22, 2008, EPI is designed to track the performance of approximately 150 Indian companies included in the WisdomTree India Earnings Index on the annual index screening date. As the first ETF to offer pure exposure to local Indian securities, the WisdomTree India Earnings Fund grants investors access to one of the worlds fastest growing marketplaces.

As a leader in ETFs, we are proud to operate a strong market model with an exceptionally diverse and unique balance of product and service offerings, said Lisa Dallmer, Senior Vice President, ETFs and Indexes. Trading the ETF and options on the WisdomTree India Earnings Fund is an excellent example of our overall business integration and our compelling value proposition to our visionary customers like WisdomTree.

We are pleased that the NYSE Arca has worked to promptly list options on EPI, said WisdomTree CEO Jonathan Steinberg. Our launch one week ago today marked the industrys first ETF to provide direct exposure to local Indian securities. WisdomTree took care to build an index and fund specifically designed to comply with Indias foreign investment limits and restrictions on derivatives. EPI is designed to be broad, investable and scaleable and has already traded 5,389,000 million shares in its first six days of trading.

We are excited to begin trading options on WisdomTrees groundbreaking ETF, the WisdomTree India Earnings Fund, said Ed Boyle, Senior Vice President, NYSE Arca Options. The combined listing of the ETF and the options on the ETF illustrates our commitment to offering our issuers and investors the opportunity to trade more complex investment strategies in these products on one of the worlds best and most accessible exchange groups.

Trading over a million shares in its first day on the market, the WisdomTree India Earnings Fund has an average trading volume of 898,167 with $82 million assets under management in only its first week of trading.
