Details of the author:

Ken was married for 20 years. He raised two daughters throughout their childhood and teenage years. When his daughters began to make their way through life, Ken lived a single life. He wandered and worked in all states of Australia and explored jobs such as road and railway construction, ranch work, and several years in the mining industry. He also drove cattle from the breeding areas of north Queensland to the Channel Country of the SW. It was on these cattle drives that the story of Bartholomew Crow was born. He travelled Australia from north after south, driving seven horses, following old stock routes, station tracks, and even some cross-country when floods intruded in a few places. The trip covered a distance of 3000 km and took 120 days in his saddle. The journey helped him unravel the strengths that he had never noticed before.
