Female 2D designers, illustrators, and translators from around the globe are urged to join in Rarepixels cross-culture project

Rarepixels, an indie gaming studio producing top-rated mobile games, is set to launch an all-new mobile game uncovering the history of human civilization. For the ambitious project, Rarepixels is seeking female 2D designers, illustrators, and translators from around the globe to participate in the incredible cross-culture project. Rarepixels’ aim is for the all-new game to be visualized together and to be the first mobile game to be largely created by women.

The project is for a casual game to be produced in which players move through different centuries starting at the beginning of prehistoric time. Players will explore various civilizations including Ancient Egypt, the Roman Empire, and many more. The game will also explore different planets around the galaxy. Players will complete tasks throughout the game and it will be more than just another survival game. Rarepixels are keeping many of their ideas close to the vest for now, but plan to release more information soon.

Rarepixels aims to increase diversity in the mobile gaming sector. The company supports equality in the industry and the project will contribute to Rarepixels’ work toward diversity. Female 2D designers, illustrators, and translators with or without previous gaming industry experience are urged to apply. Rarepixels is seeking women from Spain, Mexico, North America, India, China, Japan, Greece, Italy, Ireland, and Scandinavia to participate.

Each level will be dedicated to a different culture and civilization. By accessing the knowledge of individuals from all over the world, Rarepixels will be able to build an incredibly unique game. Rarepixels is also interested in adding additional cultures to the new game. Individuals from cultures not previously mentioned can contact the game studio to apply to work on the game as well.

Application process is ongoing and will end in August. Candidates can send their CVs or links to their portfolios by email to job@rarepixels.com.
