Banco Santander Brasil reports 24.6% YoY drop in net income

Banco Santander Brasil (NYSE:BSBR) looks bullish and has a float short of 0.08%. The company released its Q2 20202 and six-months result for the period ending June 30, 2020. In the second quarter, the company reported a 24.6% YoY drop in net income to Ps. 4.23 billion. On the other hand YoY net income for the first six months dropped by 11.5% to Ps. 9.644 billion.

The company and Aegon have expanded its non-life and life insurance partnership after the bank acquired Banco Popular. Consideration of the 51% interest of Aegon in the JV with Banco Stantader includes an upfront payment of 187 million Euros which is lower than the 215 million euros announced in July 2018.

Chevron Corporation partners with Algonquin Power on renewable energy projects

Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) also looks bullish and it has ba float short of 0.64%. The company's wholly-owned subsidiary Chevron USA and Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp (NYSE:AQN) announced a deal for co-development of renewable energy projects which will provide power to various Chevron assets across the globe. The four-year deal will see chevron generating around 500 MW of its current and future power demand from renewable resources. Chevron's Pipeline and Power president Allen Satterwhite stated that they plan to lead in the energy sector through the development of affordable, cleaner, and reliable energy. The deal advances the commitment of the company to lower its carbon footprint through investment in renewable energy solutions.

The company released its Q2 result last week and posted a loss of $8.27 billion relative to a profit in Q2 2019. Chevron reported revenue of $13.49 billion in the quarter missing on analysts' average estimates to $20.49 billion.

Wells Fargo & Co Reports Q2 2020 results and appoints new head of innovation

Another stock looking bullish is Wells Fargo & Co (NYSE:WFC) which has a float short of 0.73%. The company released its Q2 2020 results mid last month. It also announced last month that Ather William s III is expected to join the company as head of Strategy Digital and Innovations in October this year. He will report to the lender's CEO Charlie Scharf and will be part of the Operating Committee.

Scharf stated that Scharf is a strong leader in global banking with almost three decades of experience in strategic banking and digital innovation delivery. He added that he has what they need to lead Well Fargo's strategic efforts.
