(TSXV:KDA) ("KDA" or the "Corporation") is proud to offer, through its subsidiary AlliancePharma, a pharmacy teleworking service (the "Tele-Pharmacy"), becoming the first agency in Quebec to offer this service to its clients throughout the province.
The primary objective of this new Tele-Pharmacy is to ensure that all pharmacies in Quebec can offer the same quality of pharmacy service and adapt adequately and in accordance with containment rules during the period of COVID-19 pandemic.
This new Tele-Pharmacy service will be added to AlliancePharma's services offered and available, and it will be maintained as a regular service in order to meet the growing needs of our customers.
Thanks to this Tele-Pharmacy, several additional and essential objectives are being met and achieved, such as:
- To provide punctual support to a pharmacy with insufficient resources;
- Allowing a pharmacy to offer pharmaceutical care and services at key times (e.g., afternoons, evenings and weekends), without having an understudy of pharmacists on site;
- Reduce expenses associated with travel;
- Better scheduling flexibility for everyone.
In order to benefit from Tele-Pharmacy, the following requirements must be complied with:
- The physical presence of a pharmacist on site to supervise the technical team;
- The owner and the assigned pharmacist to the Tele-Pharmacy must sign a non-disclosure and confidentiality commitment in respect of personal information.
Here are the main services offered remotely:
- Prescription validation;
- Analysis of files, pharmaceutical opinions;
- Telephone advice and consultations;
- Data collection;
- Follow-ups;
- Intervention with prescribers;
- Contents verification (via camera in the presence of another pharmacist on site to ensure this service).
