Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of a 25-foot LED mobile light tower powered by a 20 kW generator. This unit features four 400-watt LED lamps producing 208,000 lumens of bright light output capable of illuminating six to seven acres without refueling for 19 hours. Real-time monitoring of this IP65-rated unit is done via a Deepsea controller.
The WCDE-4-20KW-220V.50HZ-4X500LTL-LED-CPR-2XQP.500LTL LED mobile light tower is equipped with two auxiliary LED light masts and is supported by a 4-cycle water-cooled direct injection natural intake Perkins/404D-22G engine that runs on diesel. The engine produces 1,800 RPM and can generate 22 kW on standby and 20 kW during use and is rated at 100 amps. This unit supports 220V 50Hz and features five power outputs and an ATS plug.
Larson Electronics’ mobile LED light tower features four LEDs that each produce 52,000 lumens of light for a total of 208,000 lumens and offer 80,000 hours of lamp life. Each light is attached to the end of the telescoping boom and produce a wide flood pattern. This unit can withstand temperature changes of -40˚C to 80˚C and a switch on the unit allows operators to control the LEDs. A Deepsea controller allows operators to view system elements such as battery voltage and runtime. Operators are notified of low oil pressure, high water temperature, over/under voltage, and over/under speed as a protective feature.
The telescoping boom is made up of four sections and can extend to 25 feet in height via an electro-hydraulic elevation system allowing for 360˚ of rotation. The tower is made of aluminum and can withstand winds up to 50 mph when extended to full height. All operating components are housed in a protective compartment made of 14-gauge steel. The unit is mounted on a two-wheeled trailer with a 2,200lbs leaf spring axle.
This unit comes with two tripod-mount LED light towers powered by two outlets on the generator with light heads containing 48 Cree LEDs paired with PMMA high purity optics. The auxiliary towers are equipped with 50-meter cords for connection to the primary LED tower. Suitable applications include remote locations, construction sights, military bases, camps, and more.
