Occidental plans to sell $8.8B worth of assets to Total if Anadarko deal goes through

The Total deal would provide cash to cover part of the Anadarko deal and would jump-start Occidental’s previously announced plan to divest $10 billion to $15 billion worth of assets in conjunction with acquiring Anadarko.
