It's official: Austin has its first major league sports franchise, MLS commissioner announces

A Major League Soccer franchise will soon call Austin home. MLS Commissioner Don Garber announced Tuesday afternoon that Austin FC will be the 27th team in the league. The franchise will be the Texas capital's first professional team among the country's five premier sports leagues.
