Dr. Seuss’ “The Grinch” Takes Over Barnes & Noble This Holiday Season

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS), the world’s largest retail bookseller, today announced that Dr. Seuss’ “The Grinch” will take over stores this holiday season, with special displays in 536 stores featuring exclusive books, holiday ornaments, puzzles, games and toys starting Monday, October 22. The Company’s bookstores around the country will also be hosting a free Grinch Storytime on Saturday, November 3, ahead of The Grinch movie coming to theaters Friday, November 9.

“Kids around the country love hearing Dr. Seuss’ tale of the Grinch who stole Christmas before his heart grew three sizes during the holidays, which is why we’re so excited to have these exclusive Grinch books, ornaments, and toys this holiday season,” said Stephanie Fryling, Vice President of Merchandising, Children’s Books, at Barnes & Noble. “We think customers will love these special Dr. Seuss products, as well as the Kids’ section takeovers and displays in our stores.”

Barnes & Noble will be featuring a variety of Dr. Seuss books and products, including:

  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (B&N Exclusive Edition – pages to personalize and pocket for mementos)
  • Grinch Holiday Ornament (B&N Exclusive)
  • Grinch and Friends Snow Globe (B&N Exclusive)
  • Grinch with Max Plush Toy (B&N Exclusive)
  • Funko POP!: The Grinch & Cindy-Lou Who (B&N Exclusive)

Barnes & Noble will also be hosting a free Grinch Storytime for kids, parents, and caregivers, on Saturday, November 3, at 11 AM. The Storytime will feature a reading of How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, as well as activities and Grinch-related giveaways, while supplies last.
