By: PRLog
ATLANTA - Feb. 17, 2018 - PRLog -- Axis Replay announced their plans to open a recreational technical center focused on eSports and gaming in the Grant Park Beltline District in Atlanta in October 2018. The announcement was made during Hi-Rez's Expo (HRX) 2018 in Atlanta, where Axis Replay was one of the sponsors.

Axis Replay will be a 25,000 square foot recreational technical center that will host a computer gaming center, conference room and co-working space, with a bar and cafe that will be opened to the public. Axis Replay will offer high-end video gaming systems, eSports tournaments, new product demos, high-tech conference rooms, business meeting areas, and more.

"We were blown away by the reception we received from the HRX 2018 attendees and their excitement at having a facility like Axis Replay in Atlanta. Being able to do this here in our community is such a critical part of what we're trying to do. Connecting with so many passionate Atlanta gamers was fantastic. Even out of area attendees requested information and are awaiting their turn at having this new kind of recreational technical center in their area," said Axis Replay Founder and CEO, Allie Young.

HRX 2018 was a four-day event that took place from January 4 through 7, 2018 at the Cobb Energy Centre in Atlanta and featured eSport championship games, speakers, and an expo area. The event celebrated communities, teams, cosplayers, and fans of Hi-Rez Studios' games. HRX 2018 centered around gaming with tournaments such as the Smite World Championship, Smite Console World Championship, Paladins World Championship, Paladins Console Wars, and Hand of the Gods Tournament. Approximately 4,500 people from all over the world attended the event.

"We were excited at the opportunity to support HRX 2018 as a sponsor. This world-recognized event is a pillar in eSports championship gaming, which is hugely popular. It's the perfect event for us to announce the opening of Axis Replay in the Fall of 2018," said Young. "With the rise of the eSports industry, Axis Replay will provide a social gaming experience that's not available now."

Computer gaming is growing in the sports and recreation industry. According to research conducted by Newzoo, global revenue from eSports grew 41% to $696 million in 2016 and is projected to reach $1.5 billion by 2020. Digital media, including computer gaming and gaming manufacturing, is a top growth industry in Georgia.
