IRVINE, Calif. - Dec. 8, 2017 - PRLog -- Meggitt Sensing Systems, a division of Meggitt PLC, has just released their smallest and most most effective auto safety accelerometer. The 757A and 757F models have the highest sensitivity in the industry, providing an outstanding signal-to-noise ratio and ensuring accurate, repeatable results every time. The gas damped design means that these lightweight sensors can survive 10,000 g shocks, making them ideal for automotive crash and crush testing.
The 757 piezoresistive accelerometers at less than half an inch long and with a flexible integral cable are perfect for installation in doors, bumpers and other hard to access automobile locations. Each unit has a full bridge circuit with two active arms and two fixed completion resistors to facilitate shunt calibration. Other key features include:
• 0.2 mV/g sensitivity
• Adhesive (757A) or screw mount (757F)
• Calibration at 2, 5 and 10 V standard with every unit
• Flat frequency response: +/-5% to 3,000 Hz
• Lightweight (0.5 grams for 757A; 1.0 grams for 757F)
• Temperature range -40 to 100 °C
