NIKE ELITE COACH, C. Vivian Stringer, NBA Hall of Famer Alex English to Speak In Bahamas

Legendary C. Vivian Stringer, Alex English and Mike Daniel to Lead Bahamas Basketball Federation’s International Coaches Clinic in August

PRLog - May 16, 2013 - MIAMI -- Miami, Florida, May 14, 2013, Bahamas Basketball Federation - NIKE ELITE COACH, C. Vivian Stringer heads to the Bahamas August 1-4 as Keynote Speaker for the 3rd International Coaches Clinic www.internationalcoachesclinic.com hosted by the Bahamas Basketball Federation.  During the 3-day clinic sponsored by The Atlantis Hotel, Coach Stringer will share her experience of building successful basketball programs.  Coach Stringer is the only coach male or female to take three (3) different programs to the NCAA finals.  

Joining Coach Stringer as a speaker and panelist is the Legendary, NBA Hall of Famer, Assistant Coach for the Sacramento Kings, Alex English.  Coach English will speak on the role of an assistant coach and identifying the talent needed to compete at the professional level.  English was the first NBA player to score 2,000 points in eight consecutive seasons.  English also played in eight All-Star games.  

Carmelo Anthony’s High School Coach, Mike Daniel, One of the Winningest High School Coaches in history will speak on “Winning with Defense”.  Daniel has won 45 championships at the high school level and believes that defense is the game winner.  Guest will learn best practices and strategies to assist them in player development and building their next championship team.

About the Bahamas Basketball Federation

The Bahamas Basketball Federation (BBF) is the governing body for basketball in The Bahamas as appointed by the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sport and Culture. The BBF serves to exercise a leadership role in the promotion and development of the sport of basketball in The Bahamas. It has been leading the basketball movement as delegated by FIBA Americas and CONCENCABA, through programs and services for all levels of athletes, participants, leaders and volunteers. The BBF is also responsible for The Bahamas National Team participation in the CBC championships. The BBF joined the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) in its founding year in 1981. The BBF was formally recognized by The International Basketball Federation (Fédération Internationale de Basketball) (FIBA) in 1962.
