CapitaLand Scoops Grand Prix at IR Magazine South East Asia Awards

Singapore, Dec 15, 2010 - (ACN Newswire) - CapitaLand fought off stiff competition from OCBC Bank, SingTel and United Oversees Bank to win the grand prix for best overall investor relations at the IR Magazine South East Asia Conference & Awards 2010.

Harold Woo, winner of last year's pan-Asian award for best IR professional, collected the award, along with a gong on behalf of his CFO Olivier Lim, who won the best IR by a CFO category for the second year in a row. UOL won the grand prix award in the small or mid-cap category at the event, which was held at Singapore Exchange on December 14.

SingTel was also a big winner this year, winning two awards: Sin Yang Fong won best IR professional and the telecoms giant picked up a gong for best investment community meetings. Singapore Airlines' outgoing CEO Chew Choon Seng won both best CEO trophy and the prestigious pan-Asian award for best CEO.

DBS turned one of its five nominations into one award: best IR website/webcasting. Thrice-nominated OCBC won the award for best annual report, and five-times nominated United Overseas Bank won the award for best corporate governance.

The event was hosted in association with BNY Mellon Depositary Receipts, Singapore Exchange and the Investor Relations Professionals Association (Singapore), and co-sponsored by Extel Surveys, IPREO, PR Newswire, Standard Chartered Equities and the Wall Street Journal Asia.
