Mexico, Brazil surge as U.S. economy expands

LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) -- Latin American equities and currencies climbed Thursday, with a report that the U.S. economy expanded for the first time in a year prompting investors to snap up assets that were beaten down in the previous session.
