KLS Is Back In The Driver’s Seat

KLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services is ready for a new season. Travel restrictions are being lifted everyday. Here's what you need to know about planning your summer events and vacations.

Coachella has come and gone, so let’s get into it. Indio police report that there were no significant arrests or traffic accidents. Which is good considering how cooped up people have been during the pandemic and the speculation of chaos leading up to the famed festival.

For those who weren’t able to make it to Coachella, check out the livestream on YouTube.

Staying close to home, air travel in the US is ready to take off again. American Airlines, United, and Delta say that they are ready to handle the flood of bookings coming their way for summer travel.

According to an article by the New York Times, American Airlines has expanded it’s work force by 12,000 employees, or 10 percent, since last summer. Delta said last week that it had added about 15,000 workers since the start of last year. United has hired 6,000 this year.

On the International front, Covid restrictions are being lifted across Europe and beyond. Here is the most current information as of April 25, 2022 according to EuroNews.travel:

  • Italy dropped its ‘state of emergency’ on 31 March but has extended travel restrictions until 30 April.
  • Masks are no longer mandatory in Spain and mainland Portugal, except on public transport.
  • Croatia has lifted entry rules for EU citizens, and scrapped most of its domestic measures including indoor mask wearing.
  • Sweden has joined the growing list of restriction-free European countries, including Denmark, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway and Poland.
  • Vaccinated and recently recovered visitors no longer need to test to enter Cyprus. The Mediterranean nation also got rid of its passenger locator form requirement on 18 April, after easing some domestic measures the week before.
  • The Czech Republic dropped all travel restrictions on 9 April, ending its colour-coded system for different countries.
  • Greece is dropping its COVID entry rules and mask mandate from 2 May.
  • Switzerland is also lifting all entry rules from 2 May, meaning unvaccinated tourists from outside the EU can return.
  • Unvaccinated people can now travel to Malta without needing to quarantine, provided they have a negative PCR test.
