About the Author
Jake Hopkins is a retired twenty-five-year veteran of the pre-9/11 United States Immigration and Naturalization Service. He finished first in his class at the Immigration Officer Basic Training Course. He served on the Canadian border in Detroit, as a street agent in Chicago, taught Immigration Law and Procedure at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, was a German Marshall Fund Immigration Fellow, and ended his career as the Special Agent in Charge of the Portland, Oregon Office of Criminal Investigations.
