Colorado Among Top 10 U.S. States Likely to Appear in Epstein Files, New Study on Human Trafficking Reveals

A new study reveals that Colorado ranks ninth in the nation with the highest concentration of human trafficking cases, both for commercial sex acts and involuntary servitude, between 2005 and 2024.

The research by Las Vegas injury law firm Ladah Injury & Car Accident Lawyers analyzed federal human trafficking data from 2005 to 2024 using the FBI Crime Data Explorer, comparing incidents to state populations to calculate average annual cases per million residents.

Colorado ranks ninth with 5.46 human trafficking cases per million residents, 69% higher than the national average of 3.23. With an average population of 5,553,620, Colorado reported 25 commercial sex act cases and 5.2 involuntary servitude cases annually, totaling 30 cases per year between 2005 and 2024.

Looking at the study, a spokesperson at Ladah Injury & Car Accident Lawyers commented:

“The data underscores the deep and enduring reach of human trafficking across the country. States like Colorado consistently report some of the highest rates, a reflection of tourism, economic disparities, and cross-state trafficking routes.

“The Epstein Files could shed light on individuals and networks tied to these areas.”
