At a time when many U.S. healthcare AI efforts remain stuck in pilot purgatory, with an estimated 80% of projects never reaching broad deployment due to fragmented data, legacy infrastructure, and limited IT capacity to embed AI into everyday workflows, these technologies are built for health systems ready to move beyond proof-of-concepts and are designed to scale across real clinical settings.

Strengthening U.S.-Taiwan Healthcare Collaboration

According to the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, Taiwan’s medical device exports reached US$3.78 billion in 2025, with the United States among Taiwan’s closest partners in the sector. The United States is Taiwan’s largest export market for medical devices, representing approximately 25.7% of total exports, and Taiwan’s largest source of medical imports at 22.8%. Taiwan’s presence at HIMSS comes amid strengthening U.S.–Taiwan collaboration in healthcare and medical technology and a shared focus on technologies that improve efficiency, safety, and patient outcomes.
