24 Hour Home Care Honors Caregivers as Part of National Care Workers Recognition Month and “Caregiver of the Year” Campaign

24 Hour Home Care’s Caregiver of the Year ceremony honors care workers for their compassion and impacting people’s lives by making a difference every day

24 Hour Home Care, an award-winning home care company, is recognizing 22 of its caregivers from California and Arizona to praise the hard work they do daily to better the quality of life for seniors and people with developmental disabilities. On March 31, 2023, the White House and President Biden issued a proclamation naming April “Care Workers Recognition Month.” As an employer of more than 12,000 caregivers, 24 Hour Home Care is following President Biden’s lead and honoring its caregivers in an April 13 “Caregiver of the Year” ceremony to recognize their contributions to the community.

Considered one of the most mentally and physically taxing occupations, caregiving tends to go unnoticed. The proclamation explains how “these unsung heroes strengthen our communities and form the backbone of our Nation’s economy.”

"We are thrilled to celebrate the dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment of our outstanding caregivers," said Stephanie Medina, Chief People Officer at 24 Hour Home Care. "Their tireless efforts in making a difference in the lives of those we serve reflects the true spirit of National Care Workers Recognition Month, which we are proud to take part in. Their passion for making a positive impact is truly inspiring and deserving of the highest recognition. At 24 Hour Home Care, we are deeply grateful for all they do to enrich the lives of those they care for, and we couldn't be prouder to acknowledge their invaluable contributions to our communities."

24 Hour Home Care surprised each of the 22 caregivers being recognized with a visit from management to present them with an award plaque, acknowledgement letter, and monetary bonus, which was all captured in this video the organization shared.

“Thank you all so much. I’m very grateful and honored and it means a lot,” said Brandon Monroy, one of the 24 Hour Home Care caregivers being recognized. “I try my best for these kids and families, especially being how limited my time is. It really makes me feel good to make a difference in people’s lives. I’ve always been passionate about working with kids and helping out families. It feels nice to be recognized for my work.”

24 Hour Home Care is also acknowledging 14 caregivers for reaching their 10-year anniversaries working for the company. They will receive a letter of recognition and pay bonus.
