CIGNA
issued a news release announcing that James E. Rogers was elected on January
24,
2007 to the Board of Directors of CIGNA Corporation as a non-employee director
effective February 26, 2007. The news release is attached hereto as Exhibit
99.1
and incorporated by reference herein. As
a
non-employee director of CIGNA Corporation, Mr. Rogers is eligible to
participate in the Compensation
Plan for Non-Employee Directors of CIGNA Corporation and
the
Deferred Compensation Plan for Directors of CIGNA Corporation filed as Exhibits
10.3 and 10.1, respectively, to the registrant's Form 10-K for the year ended
December 31, 2005.
