DIANA SHIPPING INC. ANNOUNCES TIME CHARTER AGREEMENT
FOR NEWBUILDING BULK CARRIER, THE CORONIS
ATHENS, GREECE, January 25, 2006 - Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE: DSX), a global
shipping transportation company specializing in dry bulk cargoes, announced that
its newly delivered newbuilding Panamax dry bulk carrier, the Coronis, has been
chartered to Bocimar International nv, Antwerp, Belgium, for 11 to 13 months at
$21,000 per day gross, commencing January 27, 2006.

commodities as iron ore, coal, grain and other materials along worldwide
