                 Charles Sirois leaves CGI's board of directors

Montreal,  Quebec,  October 4, 2002 - Serge Godin,  chairman and chief executive
officer of CGI Group  Inc.,  today  announced  the  resignation  of CGI board of
director member Charles Sirois,  chairman and chief executive officer Telesystem
Ltd. Mr. Sirois has served as a member of the board since 1998.
