Traffic grew by 4.6 percent year over year, on a 1.1 percent decline in capacity. Domestic traffic increased by 2.6 percent compared to December 2004, while capacity declined by 4.5 percent. International traffic increased by 8.8 percent relative to December 2004, on a capacity increase of 5.7 percent. American boarded 8.2 million passengers in December.
