Item 8.01. Other Events.
On February 27, 2014, Covanta Holding Corporation (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that the Company's 2014 annual meeting of stockholders (the “Annual Meeting”) will be held on May 8, 2014, at the Company's corporate headquarters, which are located at 445 South Street, Morristown, New Jersey. The Company’s Board of Directors also set a record date of March 10, 2014, entitling stockholders of record as of such date to notice of and to vote at the Annual Meeting.
A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
