On November 6, 2009, The AES Corporation (the Company) announced that it had entered into a non-binding letter of intent to sell a 35% interest in its wind business to China Investment Corporation. On July 2, 2010, the Company issued a press release disclosing that the letter of intent has expired without an agreement to consummate the transaction. A copy of the press release is attached to this Form 8-K as exhibit 99.1.
