Discover Financial Services (“Discover”) previously announced that it is hosting a Financial Community Briefing in New York City on Thursday, March 20, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Eastern time. David W. Nelms, chief executive officer, and other members of Discover’s senior management will update the financial community on the company’s performance and business objectives. Live audio of the meeting will be available on Discover’s corporate Web site at www.discoverfinancial.com. A copy of the presentation materials, which will be discussed at the conference, is included as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and incorporated by reference into this Item 7.01.
