Appointment of an Officer:

        Sharon V. Borich, 55, was appointed by the Board of Directors as Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of New Peoples Bank, Inc. effective February 4, 2010. Ms. Borich served as Vice President and Senior Loan Officer for the Bank from November 2009 to February 2010. Prior to this role, Ms. Borich joined the Bank as Vice President and Branch Manager of the Bluefield, Virginia office in March 2005. The contractual arrangements relating to Ms. Borich's appointment have not been determined at this time.
