PNM Resources, Inc. and Subsidiaries (the "Company") is filing in this Form 8-K select Comparative Operating Statistics for the months of February 2005 and 2004 and the two months ended February 28, 2005 and February 29, 2004 to provide investors with key monthly business indicators.  Readers of this Form 8-K should refer to the Management's Discussion and Analysis of Financial Condition and Results of Operations in the Company's annual and quarterly periodic reporting on Form 10-K and Form 10-Q, respectively, for a discussion of actual results of operations and any significant trends.

Forward sales, by their nature, are entered into prior to the month in which they are reported.  The decrease in Forward Sales volume for December 2004 from 2003 is attributed to minimal market spreads in the Forward Sales market.
