Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure

        In accordance with General Instruction B.2. of Form 8-K, the following information shall not be deemed "filed" for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Act of 1934, as amended, nor shall it be deemed incorporated by reference in any filing under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, except as shall be expressly set forth by specific reference in such a filing.

        Plains All American Pipeline, L.P. (the "Partnership") announced today that it has been informed by the antitrust staff of the Texas State Attorney General's office that the Attorney General is closing its investigation into whether the Partnership's acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Link Energy might reduce competition in one or more markets within the petroleum industry in Texas, and does not intend to pursue any additional course of action at this time. The Partnership has not yet received an indication from the Federal Trade Commission whether it intends to close its investigation.
